Individualized care after childbirth

Recovering after childbirth takes time, and caring for a new baby can be physically and emotionally demanding. Whether you had a vaginal or a Cesarean birth, your body has been through a lot. Karine offers one-on-one postpartum physical therapy at our office in Boulder to support your recovery and help you feel stronger, more comfortable, and more connected to your body.

Karine focuses on your pelvic floor, abdominal wall, overall strength, and any scar tissue from delivery. The goal is to help you return to the activities you enjoy, prevent future concerns like incontinence or prolapse, and feel confident as you move through this new chapter. Care is available for all birthing people—whether you are weeks, months, or even years postpartum.

Personalized Support for Your Recovery

No two postpartum journeys are the same. Karine takes the time to understand your birth experience, your current symptoms, and your goals. Postpartum care is about more than just healing—it is about feeling confident in your body again.

Treatment may include gentle pelvic floor therapy, exercises to rebuild core strength and stability, hands-on techniques for pain relief, and support for scars from Cesarean or perineal births. Karine also helps guide a safe return to movement or exercise, always at a pace that works for you.

  • Constipation or painful bowel movements

  • Support with safe return to exercise and movement

Individualized physical therapy can help you feel more comfortable, confident, and informed as you heal.

Healing Diastasis Recti After Pregnancy

Diastasis recti, or the separation of abdominal muscles during pregnancy is very common. Karine will assess for diastasis during your postpartum evaluation and design a program to safely rebuild core strength and improve stability. With the right support, it is possible to restore function and feel more confident in your body again.
